My Little Pony Love and Friendship Ch. 2

Meanwhile at Twilights place the girls were having a fun sleepover, however Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rarity did not realize what troubles had befallen Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack. They were happily chatting between activities when a certain subject appeared into Twilights mind that she had been studying for her phycology studies, and thought maybe she could gain a new insight from Fluttershy and Rarity.

It was something Twilight was academically interested to hear their opinions on and they had yet to decide what to do next, so Twilight asked, "Hey girls I have an odd question, I'm studying pony psychology and I wanted to know what you thought of gay and lesbian ponies."

Both Fluttershy and Rarity were taken aback by the question. Rarity said immediately, "Twilight, darling why would you ever want to learn about such a ridiculous subject? I mean psychology is all well and nice, but why would you study the strange ways the mind of those types of ponies?" She said this looking at twilight with a slightly concerned look on her face.

Twilight quickly responded, "As I said it's purely academic, if I'm going to learn about something might as well learn at least a little bit about all its aspects. What do you think Fluttershy?"

Both ponies turned to look at Fluttershy expectedly; she let out a quick squeak from the sudden pressure before saying quietly, "um... well, you see I think that it is a ponies choice for whom they chose to love, well what I mean to say is it should only be their choice and nopony else's. It's their life what does it matter to us whom they chose."

The way Fluttershy acted as she said that seemed off to the other two girls, but they could not put their hoofs on quite what it was. After thinking about what she had said Twilight nodded seeing Fluttershy's point, but Rarity said immediately in response, " Fluttershy, what if you are the one they chose to love, than that would totally affect you. I mean really that would one say to something like that?"

Twilight said in response, "Well the chances of that happening are so slim that there is no reason to even worry about something as silly as that. Now come on girls lets play another game!"

As the game started unknown the friends having fun inside there was someone looking through the far window from inside snow-covered bushes. It was a unicorn pony that peaked through to Twilights sleepover. As she looked inside at the sleepover that was taking place and a tear came to her eye. Then the tear proceeded the slowly dropped to the ground where it turned to ice. Much like her spirit had long ago. She looked on at the fun they were having with great sadness as the winter stormed continued to get worse and worse.

Back at the mountain Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash where desperately trying to find shelter from the winter storm. Apple Jack said, "Hey RD, I think I see something up there on the top of the cliff! Do you recon we should go check it out?"

Rainbow Dash, with chattering teeth, responded, "Yah I think so, it isn't like we have many other options anyway we got to try something! I'll go fly up and check it out first!" Rainbow Dash immediately tried to take off despite the fact that Apple Jack was about to say something, but was suddenly dragged down by something. It is at this point Rainbow remembered that she was still tied to Apple Jack and with this wind could not properly fly.

Apple Jack sighed and said, "Well RD now that we know the rope has us tied together like maple and syrup maybe we should try to find a path up to there?"

Rainbow agreed and the two half frozen ponies continued down the path for a while. Eventually they came to the most welcome sight they had ever seen. A cave in the wall in which they could take shelter till the storm finished up.

It was a small cave, one that was not very big at all. It was just big enough that two ponies could fit easily without causing too much of a fuss. It also seemed to have crystals that seemed to emit a very small light, so that the cave was never to dark anywhere.

As soon as they got inside Apple Jack exclaimed, "Whoo wee I'm sure as honey glad we found this here cave. We can finally have a place to rest for a while."

Rainbow dash sneezed, and shivering a little said, "Yah, but its still freezing in here! I wish we had something to warm ourselves up with"

Apple Jack said, "Hold on just a dang darn minute, I just remembered that I had some cupcakes from good ol' Sugarcube Corner." Holding out the bag she had been carrying said, "and I think that they just might still be warm!"

They both quickly opened the bag to find 3 still warm cupcakes just waiting inside. They where just your average chocolate cupcake, nothing more, nothing less.

Without saying a word they each took one of the cupcakes and ate it nice and quick. Warming them up a bit and making them both feel very hungry from the long journey they had taken to reach that cave. Then they both looked at the last remaining delicious cupcake and then looked at each other.

Apple Jack spoke up first, "How do you recon we should chose who gets this last, warm, warm, delightfully warm cupcake?"

Rainbow Dash said, "How bout I just eat it!" Diving at the cupcake it the bag.

Apple Jack dived in immediately to try and get it for her  stomach and to help get warmer. The resulting scuffle tore the bag containing the cupcake in two and sending it rolling across the ground. The two freezing ponies glanced at each other for a moment before both diving at it. The both bit into it from opposite sides at the same moment their lips meeting in the middle of the cupcake. The two ponies quickly separated, chewing on there half of the cupcake. After they had sat for a moment having eaten their fill the both started to feel so very cold again.

Apple Jack said, "I sure hope somepony notices were missing, otherwise we are in more trouble than crops without a scarecrow!"

Back in Ponyville Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rarity suddenly heard a knock on the door. Twilight said, "I'll get it." And went to the door.

A very cold and wet looking Pinkie Pie burst into the Library were Twilight lived looking very worried. Her hair was even down and she seemed to be less pink than usual. Rarity said, "Pinkie you look just terrible! Come and warm up for a bit. Should I maybe get you some hot coco to help you warm up?"

Pinkie said, "Girls there's no time we need to get moving right now! Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack are stuck out in the storm!"

The three ponies who had been having a slumber party said in very worried voices, "What! How did that happen?"

Pinkie responded quickly and almost apologetically, "I accidentally triggered me and Rainbows prank which sent me flying. I started back towards town as soon as I landed, and when I got back they were gone!"

Twilight said, "Pinkie are you sure they are stuck out there? Maybe they are back at their homes?"

Rarity said, "We should go check quickly!" then the 4 ponies immediately ran out of the library to go check to see if Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack had made it back home safely.

After the girls had gone past the bush's and far enough away that they couldn't see out stepped a very cold and wet pony. She was Toothpaste green and had a lyre for her cutie mark. She decide to go head out as well to see if she could save their friends, and gain the attention of the one she so wanted it from.
